Volunteer opportunities

One time opportunities
Ongoing commitment opportunities

St. Andy's Pantry offers multiple opportunities to volunteer, either on a one time basis or as an ongoing commitment.  Food is distributed to needy families twice a month, usually on the second and fourth Saturday of each month.  (This is usually adjusted in November and December and sometimes for Easter to allow for distributing Holiday meals in a timely manner.) Volunteers are needed to assist is distribution and helping guests to cars with food bags.  Volunteers are also needed on the Thursdays prior to distribution to help unload the truck and pack the food bags.

Ministries

Red Mountian Arts

Food Pantries

St. Andy's Pantry offers fresh, frozen and shelf stable food twice a month to families in need. We partner with the Community Food Bank of Central Alabama in this effort and follow  USDA guidelines for eligibility and practices.  Except when Holidays disrupt the schedule, distribution is on the second and fourth Saturday of each month.  Volunteer opportunities include day of distribution and nloading the truck and packing bags on the Thursday prior to distribution.
