Church of the Ascension

Church of the Ascension Munich, Germany continues to work with a resettlement agency, Innere Mission, which they help found with Catholic and Lutheran churches in 1986 and currently operates a residential camp for 300 transiting refugees in northern Munich, while they await their applications to be processed (usually 3-8 weeks) before they then move into semi-permanent housing to complete the refugee process.

With this most recent crisis, the church has launched a hospitality afternoon every Thursday for refugees from McGraw Camp to come for conversation, games, language practice and emotional support – it provides an much-needed escape from the overcrowded camps
