St. James Episcopal Church

In the history of North Dakota our congregation has a prominent place.  It is the first place where The Episcopal Church came onto the Standing Rock Reservation in North Dakota.  Through it three other congregations can trace their start.  Our congregation serves in one of North Dakota’s toughest towns.  Addiction to alcohol and unemployment are both very high.  But we aren’t going to give up.  The church has been with us for almost 115 years and is important to us and our community.  We sing in English and Dakota and are served by the Standing Rock Total Ministry Team.
