Emmanuel Episcopal Church (North Side)

Share a story

Are you looking for a church where you can seek or worship God in the company of men, women and children of all ages? Where your race is unimportant and won’t stick out?  Where what you wear won’t be scrutinized or judged? Where it doesn’t matter if you come alone, or with your parent, or your child(ren) only, or your spouse,  or your partner, or a relative, or your whole blessed family?   What we have in common here — is our diversity.  We have found a home here and hope you, too, will find a parish family and a church home at Emmanuel.

We are a vital, inner-city parish with a congregation rich in diversity — ethnic, social, economic and even neighborhood.  People from all over the city have a home at Emmanuel.  Amidst this diversity, there is amazing harmony, support, and genuine care.  It is a unity that often surprises even its own members — and one that we wish to share with both the surrounding neighborhood and the greater Pittsburgh community. Our main focus is our worship of the one true God. Members live out their faith in a Loving God through their everyday lives — at work, at home, in their neighborhoods — and sometimes even at church.
