Mead Hall

Share a story

Mead Hall is a union of two long-established schools (Mead Hall Episcopal School and Aiken Preparatory School) that created a single K-12 program on two campuses in downtown Aiken. Small class sizes and a rigorous college preparatory curriculum prepare students for a lifetime of learning and leadership. St. Thaddeus regards Mead Hall as an essential outreach ministry, acknowledging the privilege and responsibility of shaping childrens lives.

For many years Mead Hall has been developing the hearts and minds of children, giving them a strong foundation on which to build their lives. Our tradition of academic excellence, spiritual inquiry, and high moral standards has enabled our graduates to become capable and confident leaders in their communities -- their professional successes and their personal lives attest to this.

In addition to rigorous academics, Mead Hall's program offers the opportunities and advantages which allow each student to excel.

  • Accreditation through the Southern Association of Independent Schools (SAIS)
  • Small class sizes
  • Enrichment classes in art, computer skills, library, music, physical education, and sacred studies.
  • Middle School and Upper School athletics program
  • Middle School art block including band, theater, and visual arts
  • Accelerated Reader program
  • Community service participation for all students
  • Weekly chapel services and sacred studies classes
  • Daily hot lunch with salad bar included in tuition
  • Extended care available before and after school
  • Uniform policy minimizes clothing hassles and fosters unity

The best way to get to know Mead Hall is to visit us during school hours. Please call for an appointment to tour our campus, and learn why our faculty and students love coming to school.
