St. Joseph is a small mission church that was an outreach to a community that recently transitioned from public housing to newly-built townhomes. It is located in the same building as Emmanuel Center, which provides education enrichment programs to inner city youth.

Emmanuel Center of Memphis offers after-school tutoring, coaching, mentoring and more to support the needs of the South Memphis community. Our goal is to empower kids to break down any barriers standing in the way of their personal, educational and spiritual growth. We support kids and their families in the 38126 zip code by offering after-school and summer programs that inspire spiritual, physical, and educational growth. Through year-round engagement, we help kids build stronger social and emotional skills and prepare them for success inside and outside of the classroom.
