St. Thomas Episcopal Church

Share a story

Established in 1834, St. Thomas Episcopal Church has graced the corner of West and Market Streets just off the Somerville Town Square since its construction in 1858.  As in the days when horse and carriage brought communicants to its door, St. Thomas exists today much as it has for over one hundred seventy-five years - a welcoming place of worship and comfort for generations.

Front Yard Food Pantry

Food Pantries

St. Thomas' Front Yard Food Pantry is supplied by our Outreach funds and individuals from our congregation and members of our community.  We encourage non-perishable foods such as easy open cans, items that don't require a lot of extra additions, no foods that must be refrigerated, personal hygiene items, feminine products.  Do not clean out your refrigerator or pantry and put already opened or expired food items in the pantry. PLEASE NO DRIED PEAS OR BEANS.  For some reason people don't pick up these items.  In the winter time, beanies, gloves, socks, scarves, gently worn jackets for men, women and children.
