St. Matthew's Episcopal Church

Share a story

St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church was founded in the city of Bogalusa in 1907, one year after the founding of the city in 1906.  It has been the sole Episcopal Church in Washington Parish since that time and has been an integral part of the community to this day.  The church is now much smaller than it was during the boom times in Bogalusa, but continues to provide a vital ministry to its members and the surrounding community.  At St. Matthew’s we strive to welcome, worship, teach and serve in the name of Christ.
