GRACE EPISCOPAL PRESCHOOL
Grace Episcopal Preschool was formed over 60 years ago. It offers young children an introduction to the experience of being in school in the context of the life of a parish church. The children enrolled in Grace Preschool will find a world of toys, educational materials, and other children of the same age exploring an environment beyond their own homes under the guidance of a highly trained staff. MISSION AND OUTREACH COMMITTEE
The goal of the Mission and Outreach Committee is to make operational the Gospel mandate to feed the poor, clothe the naked, welcome the stranger, care for the sick and abandoned, and respond to the needs of the imprisoned (Matthew 25:31-40). We have summarized this goal in the phrase "To the least and the lost for Him". The Mission and Outreach Committee has been proactive in seeking out, evaluating and giving needed assistance to the local community, and to national and international organizations. Our work extends beyond writing checks, however.
We have had ministry teams assigned to: • Angola State Prison, • St. Francisville Country Manor, • Habitat for Humanity, • Grace Camp, • West Feliciana Food Bank • Copan and Maya Deaneries of Honduras, • West Feliciana Pastor’s Coalition Additionally, we support programs like Disciples of Christ in Community, Angel Tree Ministries, F.I.N.A, Drug and Alcohol Prevention, West Feliciana Schools, and others.
At the Diocesan and National level we have supported Episcopal Community Services, Advent House, Trinity School for Ministry, several Students in Seminary, Relay for Life, St. Jude’s Hospital, etc.
At the international level we have supported Episcopal Relief and Development Foundation (For Japan and Haiti rebuilding projects); the Episcopal Diocese of Honduras, Copan and Maya Deaneries; and World Vision International.
