St. Stephen's Episcopal Church

Share a story

St. Stephen's is a traditional church, built with loving hands and listed on the National Historic Registry.  It has been in continuous use since services began on Easter Sunday in April, 1874.  When it's beautifully decorated by our Altar Guild for the Thanksgiving, Christmas Candlelight, and Easter Morning services, it is gorgeous!  Two meeting halls with kitchens, a Sunday School room, and offices have been tastefully added in passing years.

Our vision at St. Stephen's is "To be the hands, feet, and face of God".   We are supported and  inspired by weekly and special worship services to pursue this vision in our daily living.  People who have come to this church have found we are very committed to our outreach programs, whether it's to sustain our fellow members in stressful times, or support the people in the greater community who are in need of food, shelter, or encouragement.

There are many special services in church and at varied locations including Blessing of the church pantry garden, Blessing of the backpacks, Blessing of the Animals, Lenten Wednesday night Eucharist with dinner and bible study, Mary's Way of the Cross, Service of Hope and Remembrance, Muanday Thursday washing of the feet, Community Good Friday Cross Walk.
