St. James' Episcopal Church
Share a story
St. James Episcopal Church was originally built by Captain James Pierre Drouillard as a private chapel for his wife Mary Florence Kirkman Drouillard in Cumberland Furnace in 1878. The church was consecrated Bishop Charles Quintard in August 1882.
During the 1980s as the growth in the county moved to Dickson, St. James established a "daughter" church there and in the 1990s was re-designated as St. James Episcopal Church. The original St. James, now known as Calvary Episcopal Church, Cumberland Furnace, is listed on the National Registry of Historical Sites and continues as a mission church.
Recently, St. James relocated and refurbished a space at 205 Church Street in Dickson.
At St. James, all are welcome, regardless of race, creed or sexual orientation. We feed everyone, both body and soul. We put our faith in our Lord, Jesus Christ and in God’s mercy and grace, freely given to all.

In addition to those who come to our church, we provide at least 25 meals to elderly shut-ins in the area. We accept love offerings if you so choose. All are welcome.
