Church of the Epiphany, DC

The Church of the Epiphany is an diverse and welcoming Episcopal parish located in the heart of downtown Washington, DC. Epiphany parish was founded in 1842 and worships in an historic building that was originally constructed in 1844.  Throughout its long history, Epiphany has worked to serve the needs of the downtown DC community.  Epiphany hosts weekly worship services that are attended by longstanding parishioners, recent transplants to DC, downtown workers, and the urban poor.  As part of its ministry to the downtown DC community, Epiphany offers it's Sunday morning Welcome Table breakfast.  Epiphany rents below market office space to several nonprofit organizations including Street Sense Media, and shares worship space with a Muslim prayer group affiliated with the All Dulles Area Muslim Society.  Epiphany is also well known as a center for arts programming.  The Epiphany Tuesday Concert Series provides an hour of quality music from local artists free of charge each week, and the church is a highly regarded venue for numerous Washington, DC orchestras, choirs, and performance groups.
