We are a small family sized congregation that gathers for Eucharist every Sunday morning at 10:00 am. We have a healing service following Eucharist the first Sunday of the month.
Following Eucharist we gather for coffee hour to spend fellowship time together and enjoy some tasty treats prepared by members of the congregation. Coffee hour is an important part of our ministry as it allows us time to relax and catch up with each other; to share the events of our lives.
One major ministry we engage in is outreach. We have a very active outreach committee that plans and helps the congregation carry out such projects as collecting food for the local food pantry, gathering school supplies for the kids of a local women's shelter, knitting hats for the needy, purchasing Christmas gifts for needy children, help support the ministries of the Erie City Mission and the Emmaus Soup Kitchen in Erie, PA to mention just a few of the projects the committee has been involved in.
We are a mission church of the Episcopal Diocese of Northwestern Pennsylvania.
Our building is small, but very functional. We can seat about 125 people in the worship space and have room for about 50 seated at tables in our fellowship area. The building is all on one floor and fully handicap accessible.
The building sits on approximately 5 acres of land of which a good portion is wooded. We are located on a main highway into Edinboro and are easy to locate for travellers coming into town from Interstate 79.

Outreach
Our Outreach committee is committed to supporting a wide variety of ministries that are local, national and international. The Bishop's committee of our congregation gives 10% of our pledges to the Outreach committee to each year and empowers them to spend that money to help those in need. The committee also coordinates and carries out a variety of fundraising and collections throughout the year. For example, in the summer the committee places particular emphasis on collecting children friendly foods to be given to the local food pantry. This "Feed My Lambs" program helps to support local children who during the summer are not in school and receiving free breakfast and lunch. The committee also collects school supplies and Christmas gifts for local needy children.
The committee has monthly collections for local charities such as the Erie City Mission, the Emmaus Soup Kitchen, Edinboro Food Pantry, Hermitage House Youth Services, Boro Women's Services. There are also collections for national and international charities from time to time such as the Episcopal Relief and Development fund, Toilet Twinning, Heifer International, The Amercian Red Cross, etc...
We also have a small but dedicated group of knitters who make hats and scarves for the homeless. So far this year our group, along with some students from Edinboro University have contributed over 100 handmade hats and scarves to the Erie City Mission and Emmaus Soup Kitchen. Over the years we have sent out over 300 hats to people in need all over our area.
The spirit of giving is very much alive at St. A's.
