Our Mission:

In the words of our current Presiding Bishop, the Most Rev. Michael B. Curry, “Jesus came and started a movement and we are the Episcopal Branch of the Jesus movement.”

The Episcopal Diocese of Western North Carolina is part of that movement. Together, as a community of 63 parishes, 5 summer chapels, 2 conference centers, 1 retirement community and 1 parochial school across the 28 western-most counties of the state, we collectively witness to God’s love for the whole world.

We believe we are partners in God’s mission to:  “restore all people to unity with God and each other in Christ."       -Book of Common Prayer, page 855.

Together we:  Walk in the Way of Jesus

Widen the Walls by welcoming all people – no exceptions

Wake up the World to the grace and mercy of God.
