Colorado Fire Response

Episcopal Relief & Development partnered with The Episcopal Church in Colorado to provide relief after the massive wildfires over the summer displaced thousands of people and damaged much of the infrastructure. By combining resources with other faith-based organizations like Catholic Charities, Salvation Army and the Lutheran Rocky Mountain Synod by way of long-term recovery group, the diocese is providing temporary housing, replenishing local food banks and addressing other unmet needs on a case by case basis. Diocesan leaders have also been providing pastoral support and offering resiliency building Zoom trainings to church leaders active in response and the community.
