Churchgoers gather for second Palm Sunday during COVID-19

Last year, churchgoers didn’t get palm leaves on the first day of the Christian Holy Week. This year, although social distancing is still in place, the scene inside Church of the Redeemer is a far more traditional one.

“The COVID people are being vaccinated for COVID-19 and we’re starting to see more people come into the church and do the church services because of that,” parishioner James Lerario said. “It’s getting better. We’re getting there. Slowly but surely.”
