Volunteer opportunities
Each week, we provide gift cards for food or gas to members outside of the church community who struggle with poverty. We also assist with rent and utilities as we are able.
We serve dinner on the fourth Thursday of the month to the residents of Dayspring Center, a shelter for families with children experiencing homelessness.
We participate regularly with the interfaith community organizing group Faith in Indiana, doing everything from getting out the vote to phone banking, protesting, contacting elected representatives, serving as allies with and advocates for those facing oppression, especially immigrants.
We have hosted refugee families in the past and hope to do so again.
We help organize and participate in the Pride Parade every June, being the 1st church to do so.
We collect socks, soap, and hygiene articles during Advent for people experiencing homelessness.
We collect food each month for the Coby Palmer pantry at the Damien Center, which serves people who are HIV+.
There are many ways to volunteer "in house" at All Saints, especially to support our beautiful worship, whether on the Altar Guild, the Linen Guild, or in the Choir; as an Acolyte, a Lector, a Greeter, a Prayer Minister, or a Lay Eucharistic Visitor, or enjoy the outdoors attending to our grounds. And if you enjoy hospitality, assisting with coffee hour might bring you joy.
