St Christopher's Episcopal Church

Share a story

St. Christopher's is a thriving five-generation parish. We have grown in size and spiritual strength from a small group of 40 members in 1956 to a community of 274 families. We gather for worship, study, and ministry in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. With an external focus on service in our community, outreach is an important part our ministry and who we are.

We are a diverse group of Christians with unique gifts and talents who are united through the awareness of God's presence in our lives. We invite you to share in our Christian life which we express through the Episcopal tradition. Through the ministries of Formation, Worship, Service, and Fellowship, we continually strive to support, equip, and strengthen each other on our spiritual journey and create a loving and comforting family which reflects God's love in our lives and in the world.

St. Christopher’s Crops

Creation Care/Community Gardens

our of our Outreach programs (St. Christopher’s Crops, the Summer Meals Program, the Weekend Backpack Program, and Mary Rigg Neighborhood Center Spring Break Bags) work with local food pantries and the Mary Rigg Neighborhood Center to serve families who are food insecure in our area.  St. Christopher’s Crops and the Summer Meals Program look for volunteers during the summer months, whereas the Weekend Backpack Program runs during certain weeks of the school year.  The Spring Break Bag Program directly helps children who are a part of the Mary Rigg Neighborhood Center during their spring break week.

The winter holiday season is another time in which many local families are in need. St. Christopher’s traditionally works with local shelters and/or nursing homes to collect gift cards (known as our Angel Tree Program). We also have a Christmas Tote Program in which food and other necessities are placed in large totes and delivered to Mary Rigg Neighborhood Center families in need.
