Saint Raphael Episcopal Church is a parish within the Diocese of Lexington, a member of the Worldwide Anglican Communion, and governed in a partnership of the Vestry and the Rector, guided by the doctrine, discipline, and worship of the Episcopal Church under the authority of the Bishop of Lexington.  The parish was established in 1962, meeting at James Lane Allen Elementary School until the facility on Parkers Mill Road was completed in 1966.  Nicknamed in the early days “Everybody’s Church” for its welcoming, healing spirit, St. Raphael’s celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2012.
