The St Francis Canterbury House at K-State provides a safe place where students can come together and explore their life of faith as shown to them through the life of Jesus Christ as they ask critical questions and experience the love of Christ through others and thereby find their spirituality deepened.
In addition to serving the wider K-State community, the Canterbury House provides an intentional community for up to five Episcopal students who live, work, and share in that space together. These Peer Ministers (students who are selected for their desire to lead ministry in the wider KSU community while deepening their own faith as they live together in the house) and Program Assistant with any number of non-resident Peer Ministers carry out the daily work of the ministry.
We have a free dinner, program, and worship every Monday during the Fall and Spring semester from 6:30-8 pm.
Volunteer opportunities
On Tuesday mornings, we provide a free breakfast at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church for the community of Manhattan. Peer Ministers and student volunteers help to prepare the meal and serve it to members of the community in attendance.
